The first service of the High Holiday season is the Selichot service which introduces some of the main themes of the High Holidays, particularly that of penitence. Join us at EMJC for evening service at 7:00pm. Selichot teaching by Rabbi Matt Carl immediately following. Our Selichot service, led by Cantor Sam Levine with the EMJC choir begins at 8:30 pm.
After Selichot, EMJC is teaming up with synagogues around the borough for “Selichot Across Brooklyn,” at the Park Slope Jewish Center. Join us in Park Slope. Transportation provided!
