The Building Blocks of the Prayer Service & A Shabbat Service for the Perplexed

and
Saturday, March 11

Please join me for a two-part learners’ experience we’re calling Minyan Nevuchim – A Shabbat Service for the Perplexed.
This learners service will consist of two sessions. The first, an introductory session, will take place on Wednesday, March 8th, as a NightShul class. That evening, we’ll begin to unpack the structure and content of the prayer service. How are the prayers structured? What do they mean? What’s with all the bowing and moving around?
The following Shabbat, March 11, we’ll continue the conversation. In an abbreviated service that begins promptly at 10:00 am, we’ll put into practice what we learned on Wednesday and give folks a chance to try out their davening (praying) chops.
This mini-series is all about answering your questions and increasing your comfort-level as a “shul-Jew.”
After that, stick around and join us for a kiddush luncheon and debrief.
Mark your calendars now!
