Last week a group of EMJCers (children included) and friends went on a 2-hour Kayak Trip in Jamaica Bay, guided by park rangers from the Gateway National Recreation Area (as well as Park Service Volunteer and EMJCer Hagai Kamil). We paddled out from Floyd Bennett Field along the coast nearly out to the Marine Park Bridge. The Park Rangers discussed the history and wildlife of the area.  The weather was amazing and all of the dozen or so participants had a great time. We hope to do something like this next year.
