On Sunday, March 26, EMJC hosted an Interfaith Seder conducted by EMJC’s Rabbi Matt Carl and Cantor Sam Levine, Our Lady of Refuge Church’s Father Michael Perry, Rabbi Heidi Hoover of Temple Beth Emeth, and Hakan Yesilova from the Turkish Cultural Center. Thanks to the 175+ people from EMJC, Our Lady of Refuge Church, the Turkish Cultural Center, Council of Peoples Organization, and others.
This intricate event (which involved printing special Haggadot for all to use, preparing the ceremonial foods plus snacks and much else) was made possible by the planning and non-stop work of Sally Hipscher and Audrey Korelstein with the assistance of the Interfaith Committee, ASL interpreter Yekaterina Dunams, Debbie Schechtman, Esther Daiell, Nina Bickell, Shereen Rosenthal, Marjorie Sanua, Loretta Lucas, Yvette Cadet, Patricia George, Claire Sejour, Ayse Esra Arikan, Rabia Ari, Aynur Sahpalongova, Aysegul Sasmaz, Fusum Sevilis, Ihsan Beydili, Mahmud, Medor, and a number of other men from TCC.
