The Interfaith Committee’s Annual Neighborhood Walking Tour took place in Harlem last Monday. Landmarks included the Apollo Theater, the Teresa Hotel, Adam Clayton Powell Plaza, the National Black Theater Mural, Bill Clinton’s office, and the Harriet Tubman Memorial. The tour was led by Lady Altovise, a charming and knowledgeable professional guide. The Interfaith Committee heartily recommends her! She’s available for gospel tours and custom designed tours. Contact her at 212-464-7792. On YouTube, search LadyAltoviseNYCTours.
The group, of course, was hungry after all that strolling. Many walkers then headed over to Sylvia’s Restaurant for a delicious lunch. Many thanks to the Planning Committee (Sharon Resen, Sandy Goldhaber, and Claire Sejour) and to event contact Sally Hipscher.
