Last Monday we welcomed 40 people to the Little Tent Room to participate in a Healing Service. A new kind of service for EMJC, it was created by Cantor Sam Levine and Education Director Audrey Korelstein, with additional support from EMJC’s social worker, Shira Felberbaum. The program featured prayer, music, poetry, and reflection and included special guests. We thank Cantor Lisa B. Segal, Rabbi Shlomo Segal, Dror Shahaf, Arthur Strimling, Rabbi Regina Sandler-Phillips, and EMJC members Rachelle Grossman and Rebecca Grossman for their contributions.
Another highlight this past week was the visit of EMJC member Sally Hipscher to Room J. Sunday students and a few parents joined Sally to learn three Israeli folk dances.
