You are invited to attend the 13th Annual Thanksgiving Service sponsored by the Interfaith Committee of Our Lady of Refuge Roman Catholic Church and the East Midwood Jewish Center, to be held on Sunday, November 24, 2013 at 4 P.M. at Our Lady of Refuge (OLR), located at the corner of Ocean and Foster Avenues.

Members of both congregations will read thanksgiving prayers from many faiths. Four choirs will perform: The Amity School Choir, conducted by Ali Khaya, the OLR Choir, conducted by Glen Balch, the East Midwood Jewish Center Choir, conducted by Cantor Sam Levine and the Kingsborough Choral Society, conducted by Mark Mangeni. .

Rabbi Alvin Kass of East Midwood and Father Michael Perry of OLR will address the assembly.

Attendees are asked to bring non-perishable foods for donation to the Food Pantry of Our Lady of Refuge.

For nearly two decades the OLR/EMJC Interfaith Committee has worked together to help educate our communities about our cultures and faith traditions. We welcome your participation.
